"EXPERIENCE HOW HAPPINESS HAPPENS"

Calm Mind was established in 1992. Its mission statement was and still is to provide a therapeutic environment where people feel safe to explore their emotional, mental or spiritual issues. At Calm Mind we work with individuals, couples, families and groups.

Calm Mind can give you the energy and the support to help you take responsibility for your life and have the courage to make the necessary changes in order to grow and develop. This is not a process that will happen overnight and it isn't a magic cure. Initially change may seem like a frightening prospect, however if you embrace the process and take it one step at a time you will slowly, but surely feel positive results.

Counselling offers people the opportunity to increase their self awareness and therefore begin the journey of bringing positive change in to their lives. Through working from a deeper level clients are able to overcome their obstacles and develop freedom and success in their lives.

Calm Mind has a range of treatments available. Each client is an individual and therefore a personalised treatment plan will be established to ensure maximum results.

What is Counselling?

Counselling is a partnership between the counsellor and the client. Savva will use listening skills and varying therapeutic techniques to explore issues and help the client to reach solutions. At Calm Mind, we work with the whole person. We recognize that people have the potential to heal themselves if given enough support and guidance. The client may be an individual, a couple, a family, a teen or a group of people. Savva firmly believes in the importance of the client feeling comfortable with the counsellor. It is for that reason that you need only commit to the first counselling session...

What is Meditation?

Despite all its popularity, today very few of us truly know what meditation is. Some regard meditation is the mental concentration on something, others consider that we meditate when we imagine something that gives us peace or satisfaction. All these methods are being with one goal to slow down and, eventually, completely stop the incessant activity of our minds. These exercises are not really meditation – they are substitutes for meditation because it is normally very difficult to stop our minds all-together. In reality, meditation is a state of thoughtless awareness.
